Basic Approach to Sustainability

As a leading company in the pachinko and pachislot machine industry, the SANKYO Group is committed to further contributing to the development of healthy leisure activities and the creation of a spiritually enriching society. To achieve this, we will promote sustainability initiatives aimed at simultaneously realizing a sustainable society and sustainable corporate growth, thereby enhancing corporate value. This will be accomplished through consideration for and collaboration with all stakeholders, including customers, business partners, shareholders, employees, and local communities.

Sustainability Promotion System

The Sustainability Committee, chaired by the Representative Director, President and composed of the general managers of each department, establishes sustainability policies and targets for the Group as a whole. The Committee also forms cross-functional project teams to address specific sustainability issues and oversees the implementation of a PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) management cycle. The Committee reports key sustainability matters to the Board of Directors and the Management Committee, which then deliberate on and provide guidance for relevant policies and action plans.

The Board of Directors and Executive Committee give instructions to the Sustainability Committee and receive reports from it. The Sustainability Committee gives instructions to the project team to consider specific measures, and the project team reports the results. The project team carries out annual plans, implements and promotes measures, checks progress, and determines annual results in line with the management cycle of planning, execution, confirmation, and revision. The project team discloses information to stakeholders and utilizes their evaluations.
